Yay another graphics card upgrade question....

So yeah, i had this computer for 3 years and it still holds up today, but because of the newer games i think i should upgrade.
My specs are
Asus 9600GT
Intel core 2 quad q9400
2gb ram
asus mobo
1680x1050 display

So im thinknig about the Gigabyte HD5770 (GV-R577SO-1GD version) and a 500w power supply. The only question is will i feel an decent performance boost ? And if you want to suggest another card please suggest one in the same price range.

Abou the ram...I had 4 gb, but something happened to my mobo and when ever i put ram in the other slot the computer wont even start.

Then you can get a 4GB ram that is only one stick.

Chances are his 4GB stick went bad, so I don't see that as an option. He should just get a 2GB stick, same brand, model, and so on.
