I'm gonna go ahead and quote myself from the XCOM thread.
If you don't buy this now or in the summer sale then you're a bad person who likes shitty games.
Buy it
pretty disappointing, to be completely honest.
Not terrible by any means though, definitely worth $5
No matter how many times you beat this game, you're still enjoying this.
Time to buy the DLC i guess.
pretty good game
ending sucks tho
Trying to do a pacifist run recently is.. Difficult, that's for sure.
Sure, early on you can just let your single battery recharge before KOing someone with a takedown or stealth past them, but the game really forces you to be creative or one hell of an active preparer with energy bars and plans to get through later areas without a problem or killing anyone.
The fact that I can actually replay the game and, while having the same storyline, have the ability to handle things very differently is a plus in my book. :v:
Missing Link any good?
Definitely worth its price, go buy it!
Missing Link any good?
It's quite nice. It's basically a mini-version of the game (your inventory is emptied out, you lose all your augs but get about 4 praxis points at the beginning). It still has all the trademarks - different paths, different ways to cross rooms/take down enemies - and in fact improves on many of them. There's a boss fight that you can end in many different ways - gun down, nonlethal stun, snipe from across the room.
Get that mess.

Disappointing how?
I still can't believe they aren't bringing the Director's Cut to the PC.
Though aside from the integrated DLC, they really didn't improve or more importantly add anything major at all.
(The Director's Cut would have been perfect for them to put the stuff they had to cut due to time constraints back in; like Upper Hengsha which according to the devs was basically already finished except for some of the scripting. All while fixing the shitty ending to the game etc. etc...
But nope, nothing more than a cash grab really.)
But they're not adding in Upper Hengsha and the endings themselves aren't being changed.
Buy it, especially at this price. This game is -so- good.
Quality game for a good price.
How come they only made one DLC for this?
But they're not adding in Upper Hengsha and the endings themselves aren't being changed.
They were originally adding it and a Montreal hub to the Director's cut but they decided against that.
The boss fights in this game anger me immensely.
The boss fights in this game anger me immensely.
Just be sure you invest like two or three points in the typhoon and you'll just breeze through them. They still suck, but at least you don't have to play them for more than like five seconds.
The boss fights in this game anger me immensely.
They all have ways to make them piss easy if you know what you have to do for them. Just keep some Praxis Points left to use on the Typhoon if you are that desperate.
Bought this a few days ago. It was 12€, but worth it. No regrets. I'm not even done with it yet.
It's a great game.

Obvious bad game of course
They were originally adding it and a Montreal hub to the Director's cut but they decided against that.
I wish they would have. Or at least let us see some of it.

Basically I've got to start over because I didn't plan for one small section of the game that's completely different from the rest of the game.
[editline]18th May 2013[/editline]
2nd boss, no Taser, no EMP protection, no Typhoon.

Montreal and Upper Hengsha would've been a great excuse to replay this. :(
Played it last summer. Enjoyed every moment of it.
Paid full price for this game at release, paid full price for the DLC. Still no regrets, this game was awesome. To get this game for 75% off is a fucking crime, buy it if you don't have it.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great game and I love it, but the boss fights suck. :\

When I first played I rented it for the PS3. I got through the first boss just fine with boolets but the second boss just raped me so hard and the only way I was going to be able to get past was to like restart the whole game over and I was just like "fuck that" and just sent back the game.
I bought it on steam during a previous sale.
I wish I could upgrade to the augmented edition so I could get the extra stuff. But when I go to check out, it says I already own it even though I only have the standard edition.
