I always thought it was only possible to have gameplay without story yet impossible to have story without gameplay but The Stanley Parable seems to have managed it.
I honestly hope it sells 10 times that amount. It's a fantastic game and deserves all the sales it gets.
proud to be one of those 100'000
I really hope they get that Mac version running. It was crashing a lot, but it's the only one I could use right now. Pc, Mac and Linux. Unite!
Well deserving, not that I can afford to be part of that number.
Demo was fucking amazing, though.
Damn, that's like... 840,000$ after taking away Valve's 30% of each sale
Steam definitely rewards honest work.
Let's hope this inspires them to make a longer and a more diverse story driven game where players have the choice of following it or outright ruining the game.
GRAN IS GREAT
ALL PRAISE GRAN
Well, at least Gran won't be complaining to me about being poor all the time anymore. :v:
R.I.P. in peace Gran, one of the best mods.
I'm very glad i bought this game.
If you don't like this game, then i highly suggest you stand in the nearest corner. And reflect upon your life so far.
Eh, I feel like there isn't enough content to justify the $15 price tag.
I managed to get almost all of the endings on my own within 3-4 hours and maybe squeezed another hour or two out of it for Easter egg hunting, but after that there's nothing left to do. I loved what I payed, but I feel like I shouldn't have spent so much on it.

I agree. The game itself was fantastic. Very, very well made and the narration is impeccable. I feel a hole in my pocket though after buying the game; that feeling that you've been scammed. I know it's far from it, but I do think there isn't enough content to warrant the price tag. Especially when you can get other indie games and even some big titles for the same price which last for much longer.
I feel that maybe too much development went into the demo where it could have been just a trailer or some smaller interactive 'thing' and the rest of the effort put into extending the main game.
That's just my 2 cents though.
Definitely buy it though. Maybe wait until a (bigger) sale but I can't express enough that if you haven't played it yet, get it.
That's some people having taste of their own.
Reassuring.
Though yeah, that "hole in a pocket" feeling surely is there. Not that it burns me all that much, I have some expandable money these days.
