I've got 6mb/s download speed and 2 mb/s uploadspeed, so I've got a fast internet connection. When i've got uTorrent running, the internet connection gets really slow and pages take years to open, Utorrent also doesn't download anything even if there are a million of seeders. But when I close the browser, Utorrent starts to download things faster. I've got 6mb/s download and 2 mb/s upload, so I've got a fast internet connection. I didn't have these trouble a couple of days ago. I could browse the internet and have uTorrent downloading at full spesd (when I opened a new page the download speed in uTorrent droped a little which is normal).
BASICLY, when I've got uTorrent and web browser running they both don't download, but uTorrent is uploading, when i close the web browser uTorrent starts downloading and when I close uTorrent, I can surf the net.
I want to know if this is only a bug or is it a major problem.
6 Megabytes per Second or Megabits per second..?
This is because your ISP throttles your internet when you use +90% of it (or over a certain ammount of connections)
Go into the settings, and set it up to max have around 50 connections at once, and limit your upload speed and download speed to 80% of their totals in kB/s
U torrent (or any other Torrent downloader) Can take up to an hour to get up to full speed, depending on the ammount of seeders.
It doesn't help much.
If you actually tried what I told you, then you'd see there's a huge improvement.
If it doesn't help, then your ISP's throttling torrenting in general, in which case you'll just have to live with it.
He could also try turning encryption on. Might help a bit, don't know. It did for me, at least with regard to what taipan said. Anything else, you should just limit the amount of connections.
Go to your preferences window in Utorrent and go to the bandwith tab. Change the Global Maximum number of connections number.
