• Looking for a £500 - £600 build

So I need a gaming build around or between the £500 - £600 mark for a friend who was contemplating purchasing a £1500 pre-built computer. Now I explained to them that they could save a hell of a lot of money by building it themselves. I live in the UK so please cater around that, thanks.
Serious corners had to be cut. Here's the best I could do for ~£600: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£174.94 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (£26.65 @ Scan.co.uk) Motherboard: Asus P8B75-V ATX LGA1155 Motherboard (£73.99 @ Dabs) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£38.15 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£63.28 @ CCL Computers) Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 6850 1GB Video Card (£86.02 @ Scan.co.uk) Case: Cooler Master Storm Scout ATX Mid Tower Case (£68.38 @ Scan.co.uk) Power Supply: Corsair 650W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply (£69.99 @ Ebuyer) Optical Drive: Samsung SH-222BB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer (£12.67 @ CCL Computers) Total: £614.07 (Prices include shipping and discounts when available.) (Generated by PCPartPicker 2012-09-03 21:24 BST+0100) Your friend can still get a kick-ass computer for £1K though.

That K version is only for people who want to overclock the processor.
