It does seem a little disappointing that there's no special environment for NSMB2 like SMB2 had.

Guess the plot of the game. Princess peach got kidnap by Bowser again. And you guys complain Call of Duty keeps doing the same thing again and again. Well for Mario's case, the same stupid plotline
Guess the plot of the game. Princess peach got kidnap by Bowser again. And you guys complain Call of Duty keeps doing the same thing again and again. Well for Mario's case, the same stupid plotline
Yeah... but they don't claim every year that they have a GROUNDBREAKING SINGLE PLAYER STORY that'll blow our minds...
I wish there could be online co-op with a friend. Wishful thinking
Whichever player is in the lead controls the camera, so whoever is behind has to keep up or become trapped in a bubble.
Wait wait wait wait, what? I could understand this for a home console, but you have two screens to work with here. Why not just focus on each player's respective character?
Guess the plot of the game. Princess peach got kidnap by Bowser again. And you guys complain Call of Duty keeps doing the same thing again and again. Well for Mario's case, the same stupid plotline
At least Mario is fun
At least Mario is fun
It may be fun but don't you guys ever get tired of KIDNAPPING plot every game? Sonic games have a different plot. Zelda games have a new plot all the time. Pokemon has new animals to capture. Come on. Must Bowser always be the bad guy? Must Princess Peach always get kidnapped? I am starting to think that Mario have no continuity of what so ever and that they don't care about the storyline. What's the main purpose of the game? Save the princess. Why can't they have a different purpose like stop an alien invasion, stop terrorist from detonating a nuke in the mushroom kingdom, collect all 7 gems to prevent the planet from exploding. Or have some sort of black ops mission where mario have to kill a dragon. Must it always involve the princess.

I personally hate mario games when they have a complex story ex. super paper mario I don't even who 90% of those guys are. But like the other guy said cod games aren't fun at all since all you do is try to kill anyone with no reward in the end.

You even get to play as Bowser in super paper Mario Wii.

Second, the simple stories are actually a deliberate choice. When the story started to get a bit more complex, by Mario standards, Miyamoto told them to tone back the plot for the second, since he believed that Mario shouldn't have a deep plot, and should rather focus on accessibility and the gameplay. [editline]11th June 2012[/editline] And anyway, the Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi series are the ones you go to for plot.

I'm not talking about complex story. I'm am saying, they should change the plot for once. How would you like it if you were to eat nothing but Doritos and drink coca-cola forever? Same goes for the plot of Mario. Same plot. Gameplay is important but at least change the plot device
After getting fed up with Peach constantly getting kidnapped, Mario kidnaps Bowser Jr. and you play as Bowser to get him back. I'd play that.

And they say CoD players are dumb... Nintendo knows they can release the same thing with slightly better shoes and people will just buy it. Which mirrors pretty well their 40b+ losses of last year or so. Theres a reason for those losses and a reason for the other consoles doing loads better.
You even get to play as Bowser in super paper Mario Wii.
super paper mario was stupid though why remove the rpg aspect which is what made paper mario unique
Come on. Must Bowser always be the bad guy?
you obviously havent played any of the mario rpg games.
After getting fed up with Peach constantly getting kidnapped, Mario kidnaps Bowser Jr. and you play as Bowser to get him back. I'd play that.
Super Koopa Bros. Tired of Mario single-handedly beating them all the time and with Mario, Luigi and Peach trying to educate Bowser Jr. not to be evil like his father, Bowser gets fed up with it and sets out with the Koopalings to wreak havoc upon the Mushroom Kingdom, get his [primary] son back, and teach the plumbers a lesson they won't forget. :v:
super paper mario was stupid though why remove the rpg aspect which is what made paper mario unique
I totally agree, I saw Super Paper Mario as the lowest point in the series but definitely not a terrible game
super paper mario was stupid though why remove the rpg aspect which is what made paper mario unique
I didn't like it very much either, but I'm just mentioning it.
I think this would have been an excellent Wario & Waluigi title. If the point of NSMB2 is about the coins, they could have easily fit in the Wa-Bros and a good plot to it as well.
After getting fed up with Peach constantly getting kidnapped, Mario kidnaps Bowser Jr. and you play as Bowser to get him back. I'd play that.
Mario is a pedophile.
As crap the gameplay was for Super Paper Mario, it had the best story for any Mario game in a long time.
