• How does Comcast handle P2P?

I need an ISP and the only available one is Comcast. I use P2P services a lot. On my former ISP, Cox, I wouldnever get throttled or sent a scary letter. Best ISP ever. So, does Comcast block, throttle, or not care about P2P? I live in San Francisco if it's any help.
I haven't had any problems. With good seeds I get 1.5mb/s.
I have never had any problems with P2P with Comcast on my end.
Never got a letter or some shit.
Cool. Everything turned out better than expected :D Also, there is a bandwidth limit but it's like ~300GB, right?
250gb a month.
I have the regular 6mbps service and I've never gotten any warnings, but my friend has comcast business class and he already got 2 scary emails threatening to drop his service and perhaps be given further consequences, but he hasn't gotten any since he started using peerblock. Be sure to enable encryption in utorrent, as they may decide to throttle uploads again.
250GBs combined (both Download + Upload). That said, I have gone over the cap number of times, 200-300GB a month, I went to 300GB two times before and few more times going around 260GB, but just a more normal month, I go easily to 200GB still.
Hmm... Not enough. [editline]07:07AM[/editline] Wait, so 250GB for Upload and Download? do they share that? Or are they both given their own usage?
I'm unlimited.
I feel sorry for you guys, having limitations to your bandwidth, here in Sweden (Europe too?). Our bandwidth isn't limited like that.
Curse you Sweden with your good internet! :argh:
His avatar fits him well.
I feel sorry for you guys, having limitations to your bandwidth, here in Sweden (Europe too?). Our bandwidth isn't limited like that.
Yeah, we Finns get the same. I've been P2P sharing some mods at my father's 100/20 internets, no letters or any bandwidth limits.
I feel sorry for you guys, having limitations to your bandwidth, here in Sweden (Europe too?). Our bandwidth isn't limited like that.
It's everywhere in europe, not just sweden.
Curse you Sweden with your good internet! :argh:
Same as above, everywhere in europe, not just sweden. After christmas, they're gonna make 100/100Mbit the average connection in scandinavia though.
I feel sorry for you guys, having limitations to your bandwidth, here in Sweden (Europe too?). Our bandwidth isn't limited like that.
Lol, Europe has nail-biting bandwidth caps and humiliating speeds. Long live Sweden.

Yeah they may have good internet but we have NEWEGG
I'm happy with my ISP, No bandwidth Limits, no scary letters, no throttling and they just increased my upload and gave us powerboost free (Charter Communications)
Yeah they may have good internet but we have NEWEGG
Sadly that's true :c
Yeah they may have good internet but we have NEWEGG
We have Komplett :)
We have Komplett :)
I ordered some cold cathodes there and realised they were overpriced, then I went to webdanes instead it was way cheaper and I got a free UV fan too :D
We have Komplett :)
Newegg rapes Komplett.
