I was in an accident on monday that was pretty much 100% the other drivers fault, both the police and the insurance companies agree with that (I have AAA, they have American family). My car has to be in the shop for a week minimum, and they're supposed to give me a rental car for the time that it's gone. The problem is that I'm 17, and you need to be 25 to sign for or drive the rental car, which means that their "compensation" of giving me a rental car means jack shit because the only person who can legally drive it is my mom.
I pretty much want to know if I can say that I want them to give me compensation because this means that the only vehicle I can be driving is my moms van which isn't available generally due to it being a work vehicle.
so can I get anything out of this aside from them fixing my car, or am I pretty much gonna be fucked in the ass just because I'm a minor?
