So I've always been an avid PC guy, but since I started taking TV Production at school, Mac's have kind of been interesting to me (though a bit expensive for my taste). Since Mac's run a bit different, especially OS wise, I had a question about this MacBook Air Laptop I found on craigslist. Here's the link: http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/sys/1695369795.html Description:
MacBook Air Notebook Laptop Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.6GHz Processor Technology: EM64T, Enhanced SpeedStep Technology Bus Speed: 800MHz Standard Memory: 2GB Memory Technology: DDR2 SDRAM Hard Drive: 80GB Ultra ATA 4200 rpm Display Screen: 13.3" Active Matrix TFT Color LCD Graphics Controller: Intel GMA X3100 144MB DDR2 SDRAM Shared Network: Apple AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11n, Bluetooth Bluetooth 2.1 Keyboard: Full Size Ports: 1 x DC Power Input , 1 x 4-pin Type A USB 2.0 - USB , 1 x Mini-phone Audio Out , 1 x micro-DVI Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Batteries: 1 x Lithium Polymer (Li-Polymer) 37Wh Standard Battery Dimensions: 12.8" Width x 8.94" Depth Standard Warranty: 1 Year
I'd be using this for Photoshop CS3, some video editing, probably with iMovie '09 and Final Cut Express, and then some basic music mixing and guitar recording. Can you suggest this deal, it sounds pretty good to me.
You probably want to get something a bit beefier than a Macbook Air if you're doing Photoshop and Video Editing...
Like an 8-core Mac Pro.
A decent Macbook Pro would be just fine.

Upgrade the HDD and that should be fine.
that MacBook Pro is a steal, get it.
Thinking about buying an Apple, need an expert opinion.
You can find some in any reputable food store, I prefer braeburn myself, they have a nice texture and taste.
well, being the apple exept I am, I would recommend a granny smith: but if you preffer something less sour and maybe a bit sweeter, try this red delicious:
Get it for the fact that it's $350
Wonder how much it'd cost to ship that MBA to the UK...
You won't be video editing in HD on a MacBook Air (the render times would be excruciating). But for $350? Bite.
