Yes. It's worth it for the extra maps alone.
enemy within genuinely expands the game in many ways, it's literally worth it for mechs that can punch alien scum into smithereens alone

Punching a thin man through a wall with a mechanized power suit and propelling his corpse into a car that explodes is worth it alone imo

Detecting the enemy through a wall with gene mods, setting up all your people on overwatch next to the wall, then punching through the wall, decimating the enemy with reaction shots immediately when they try to run away is the most satisfying shit imaginable.
Time for another play through.
And I'm perfectly okay with this.

It adds so much more to the base game you won't be going back [b]at all.[/b] Mec-suits erry day.
Plus you can make your dudes talk in different languages with that expansion. It's awesome.
Enemy Within is a must-buy.
