I booted Androidx86 onto my Q1. Touchscreen doesn't work, neither does sound. Hardware buttons do work. Screen res is regular.
I'll post updates as I get it working better!
Edit: The Q1 has a 900 mhz Celeron M, 512 mb of RAM, and a 40 GB Hard Drive.
Pretty awesome.
I fail to see a point in this. Mind explaing?
You can already get a legal, free, completely working android emulator from google.

But it's not running on an emulator, it's running on an actual device.
It's pretty cool. Too bad the touch screen doesn't work.

Yes, but why would you want to run it on a device that doesn't work properly?

Because there are potentials

I'm going to see if I can make it work properly :downs:

Okay, I checked lsmod and I see that "usbtouchscreen" isn't running, but it is in the modules folder. Modprobe gives me an error about chdir when I try to enable it though. Any ideas?
This seems actually pretty awesome, looking forward to updates on this.

What's the full error? You might need firmware or something
Hmm, do you think this would work on a really ancient Compaq Armada PC?
Really ancient as in, 700 mhz Pentium III, 64 MB RAM, and 10 GB hard drive (no wifi). It would be sort of cool to try out.

Bah, it only made it to the boot screen. And then it just loops the boot animation over and over. The CD drive stopped spinning so its probably hung up on something. Either lack of drivers or RAM probably. 64 MB doesn't even cut it for phone operating systems anymore. :saddowns:

And on my other laptop, it boots, and for some reason, the touchpad is detected as a touchscreen. Really weird, so if you touch the top of the touchpad, you can drag the top bar down for notifications on the screen.
Okay I used Busybox to insmod the usbtouchscreen module, and it appears to be running. But the touchscreen still isn't responding.

Completely off topic, but ELectrodeath, what's the source of your avatar?
