• How do I make an animated GIF?

I tried the search function, but after 12 pages I gave up on there being a tutorial thread on how to make an animated gif in Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended. So I ask you, facepunch. How do I make an animated gif? (I already tried fiddling with window<animation but to no avail as I could not create a second frame.) I also need to know how to open an animated gif for editing.

For me it just happens to be on the day I want to make something, and I don't know how. I will restate what I want incase it was not clear. 1) I need to know how to combine the frames to form an animation. 2) I need to know how to open an already animated gif for editing. 3) This cannot be a youtube video. 4) It must be in Adobe Photoshop CS4 If this is unreasonable, I am sorry. But if you don't have anything to contribute to the thread please do not reply.
