My ATi Radeon 4870 x2 is dead, and I'm looking for a new card. My gaming demand isn't that high, I mostly play Valve games. My PSU wattage is 750, my motherboard is a nForce 780iSLI.
I don't have a preference for company, if that matters.
Thanks.
What are your other specs?
I don't want to end up having you get a card that gets bottlenecked to tits because of the other hardware.

I've got a Intel 2.8 GHz quad-core processor, and 4 gigs of ram.

I'd be more detailed, but my computer is completely out of commission at the moment. I'm going off of boxes and what I know.
I'll say GTX 470 or 6870.
GTX 470.
Also, what model is the PSU? Like can you link to it?
6870, better than the GTX 470 and slightly cheaper.
Still, it all depends on your PSU.
I agree that getting a GTX 470 should more than satisfy your needs.

No... the only things it is better than the 470 at are conserving power and keeping the heat down.
If you don't mind heat or power draw, go with the 470. Otherwise get a 6870.
Well, it looks like I'm a little late, but here's the PSU.

MSI used to have a bad reputation, but they have made a comeback and I love this card. They bench nicely and their max temp barely reached 65 C. I recommend this.

I'm gonna be doing that too.
I'm trying to decided between a 470 and a 6870, but since the new series (500) are coming out soon, I think i'll wait.

The only real difference that I see between those two cards is the clock speed, power consumption, heat production, and the company...
Have you tried baking the card? Not that you shouldn't buy a new one, but the 4870 X2 is still a very good card.
