My laptop causes my router to reset. I could use some help.

Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I need help. Basically, when I try to connect my laptop to the internet, it causes my router to reset and kicks everyone else off the network. I tried googling this and found some apparent "fixes", but nothing worked. My laptop is running Windows 7 by the way.
Did you by any chance, see the large Technical Support thread?

I saw the sub-forum if that's what you're talking about, but I know I'll get help faster here.

Also, the laptop is near brand-new, and I was on the internet with it before. It was working fine up until a few days ago.
Bump, come on guys, I need some help,
If it worked a few days ago, I would try doing a system restore to the day before the problem started happening.
Buy a better router.

Do this but it will cost ya $400 :v:
Try manually resetting the router. You could also start by explaining anything that might have changed to your network or laptop from before it happened to after it happened. Be sure to ask everyone else if they did anything to the network.
Maybe you installed something on your PC what needs to use internet and overloads the router quickly?
