Hello Facepunch!
I plan to bunk a day off tomorrow, and I need to call college at the right time so it goes onto answer-phone and not direct pick-up, what is the best solution to doing this?
Should I get someone else to call in? Should I call in at a certain time? Even when I get to the answer-phone message, what should I say?
I'd be very grateful for any advise/tips/solutions!

get the number for the answering machine then, afaik they have specific numbers for those when it comes to college/school
What do you mean, there's only a telephone number, and if I dial that it'll go straight to someone answering it.

Some schools have separate lines for answering machines installed specifically for who are sick and need to take a day off, to report it.
At the very least the schools I attended to had those.
Stop being a whiny bitch, if you want a day off then call. You can't time it in on the answering machine unless you got your teachers or whoever's is in charge of that line schedule.

Being uncomfortable/sick is the universal excuse, as long as you don't overuse it too frequently
college is generally more lenient about days off, since it's not compulsory like school. Just say you're unwell.

No it isn't generally more strict, but there are schools like St.Andrews and they have some sort of classy standard, so you cant say i blew chunks this morning...
