I installed Visual C# 2010 Express. I had Visual C++ Express installed before that, fully working. Ever since I installed Visual C#, Vsual C++ gives me "Uknown error" start up and simply won't work. Renstalling it solves nothig, it gives me the same error half way through the installation process, says installaton has succeeded and after that gives me the same error on start up. I tried some solutions proposed on the internet, like uninstalling .NET framework and then installing or repairing VC++, none of them worked. Ideas? PS: Why the hell does the post editor make me retype half of the letters I type (they don't appear at all unless I press the key twice)?
Why are you installing 2010 Express? 2013 Community Edition exists and is free and has way more features (similar to Pro).
In addition to the fact that 2013 Community Edition was released last November... whereas 2010 Express was released over four years ago. Save yourself the headache altogether and scrap both C++ and C# Express and use one piece of software for it. Unless you're on a system where you don't meet the minimum requirements for 2010 Express, then that is understandable. Thanks for the info, will try it out and report results. Edit: Works flawlessly, thanks!
