• Need help with finding studio microphone stuff?

So the thing is, I got a microphone. Audio Technica AT2020 but My stand broke, I had planned on getting a better amp mixer so I can increase the boost for the microphone but I need a cable for it aswell. If anyone could, please give me some insight on some of this stuff? You putting this on a table, floor stander? Does it have to be portable or are you going to keep it in one spot for long periods of time? What's your budget? If you are rocking a desk clamp, I have an AT2020 desk clamp swivel boom mount with a focusrite scarlett 2i2. Almost ever audio guy I have met has told me never to use behringer gear. Never said why though, but I have a habit of never touching them now lol
I believe it's something to do with Chinese standards of manufacturing.
Get a a shock mount for that mic. That preamp won't work because the microphone requires 48v phantom power.
