I can't transfer my purchases from my Ipod to Itunes

I don't know if this counts as technical support but I have a huge problem.
I just bought Monkey Island for my Ipod for about £6 pound. Now I want to sync my Ipod with my Laptop but it is too busy "Transferring purchases". Now It did this with space invaders in seconds. With spore it didn't work and I couldn't use my Ipod at all until I deleted spore (Which cost me good money).

Now I don't want to delete Monkey Island because it seems whenever I buy something using my Ipod it throws a fuss and a bitch. Does anybody know how to fix this? Throw ideas at me but the problem is fucking my Ipod up and my Itunes.

I just want to sync the fucking thing. Thanks for reading/thinking about how this can be fixed.

Oh wait. After three hours of being plugged in it started transferring when I posted this. Well fancy that. Sorry guys ignore thread.
