That is not what I had imagined at all. I guess they're going the "episodic" route for this still? Still really lacking, given that they also added on a delay.
Am I imagining it, or did they say this will be bigger than Absolution at launch? Because that's not much and enough to put me off a launch buy, I'll be interested when they add a decent amount of content. The reviews are definitely going to suffer too. What's the story? "47 it's Diana, you're heading back to where you killed a guy yesterday"?

I can see them playing it off, Blood Money Vegas style. My fear isn't the locales on launch, moreso that it's so lacking.
It should've been the length of at least Blood Money/Absolution on launch day, factoring in the delay, and the "season pass" or however this system is working, offer up a couple of moderate chunks of content following later in the year. At least then I'd feel like the money spent was worth it.
I try to hold onto my cash as long as possible if it's not directly related to a critical bill, and while this coulda been day one value of entertainment, not after this update. I'll save that money for the GoTY or whatever completed version comes out and save $30 at the same time. Thanks sales.

It is $60 for everything or $35 for release content then $30 for the rest.
This is some hybrid early access/episodic/AAA release and I have no idea how this is going to be reviewed. Hopefully a year later there will be some definitive edition or something that will include all the content in one package.

That seems like a rather fair way to do it but I can't help but be concerned about how far publishers are going to push this "let's get the game out and maybe finish it later" trend in the future.
I really don't like this kind of episodic release method, and even less so when it concerns some AAA devs. It just feels like they're testing the ground for interest before deciding to go all in.
I mean, this :
If you buy the game at $59.99 at launch, all this content will be added free. If you want to make sure it's actually good before committing loads of money to six missions, you can buy the $34.99 'Hitman Intro Pack' which offers access to all March 2016 content - this will be available to pre-order digitally from November 2015. If you later decide you want the following three months' content, you can grab that for an additional $29.99.
Is a whole new level of greed. It's basically early-access?
Not only that, but hey, the reward for blindly spending money this time is all future content free ( First DLC (ESSENSTIAL GAME CONTENT) Season)! Content that SHOULD be in the final game!
tbh if its done well these episodic content things are great
i.e. resident evil revelations 2, you can buy the first episode and if you decide its not your kind of game, you can just hold off on buying the rest and save yourself the 30 dollars
What I mean is that the content they seem to be displaying at initial release seems kind of bare. Granted I don't know the size of those three locations, but saying "3 areas and 6 missions for 35$" seems kind of lackluster, no?
[editline]30th September 2015[/editline]
I mean, it's also not like revelations, it's either 3 locations, or 6 locations, 60$ at release (And you need to wait 3 months for the game to be finished) or 35$ starter then add 30$ for the 3 other locations. Being a cautious buyer here punishes you.
Couldn't they delay the game for three meager months and give their user a complete package?
