Hopefully we can use the assets from this in Arma 3 :v:
DayZ: Mars I'm calling it.
will it have text to speech [editline]11th June 2013[/editline] aeiou said the rover to the red dust
i can't wait for all the mars life rp servers
Exploring a completely barren planet doesn't sound particularly fun to me.
i can't wait for all the mars life rp servers
You could grief by putting small quantities of dust in the way of other rovers, so they get stuck.
Hopefully we can use the assets from this in Arma 3 :v:
You can use Take on Helicopters assets in A3, so I imagine this will be the same.
Exploring a completely barren planet doesn't sound particularly fun to me.
You get to explore the surface of Mars, a planet that at average is 225 million KM away from Earth, from the comfort of your home planet and living room. How does that not sound at least really frickin' cool?
I sure hope they allow for time acceleration while driving around or it'll take a long fucking time to get to places :v:
Take On Mars will feature three gameplay modes. Space Program will see you working for a science-driven Space Agency, looking to develop new technology, vehicles and instruments for their Mars exploration missions. Scenarios will offer up individual one-off missions with various objectives set on Mars’ dust bowls. Editor mode will enable you to develop your own goals and objectives.
I have a bohemia boner
I sure hope they allow for time acceleration while driving around or it'll take a long fucking time to get to places :v:
I can't imagine they wouldn't, as ToH, Arma 2, and Arma 3 all have it, but they still might need to increase the amount you can speed it up unless the maps are tiny.
All I have ever wanted was a space infantry simulator and now we will soon have it

Getting to play on a barren wasteland replicating a planet in our solar system isn't all that amazing, at all.
I'm curious as to how they're going to be dealing with the terrains themselves. Whether it'll be just a few larger maps or the entire actual thing; Real Virtuality 3, while being able to handle big ass maps, isn't able to handle planets.
MarZ
I don't see much excitement in this. Maybe if it had some exceptional visuals, sure, and given what it is there isn't any reason it couldn't look god damn amazing
Because this shit isn't fictional.
Yeah aaaand? We have big deserts on our own planet as well. Mars is just a bigger version of those.
It's bohemia man, it will be amazing. No argument against it is possible.
