Guess I don't have to worry. I don't own a smartphone.
And I don't download apps
I saw bona fide and couldn't help but think of Oh Brother Where Art Thou.
And I don't download apps
So you own a Smart Phone, but don't download apps? That's like having a steam account and not buying games.

That is like saying making phone calls on a smart phone is redundant!
That is like saying making phone calls on a smart phone is redundant!
Then why did you get the smart phone? If you were going to just call and text, why not a messaging phone?
To call with style. :v:
Still, Android > iphone.
And the unnecessary argument begins.
Rik Ferguson, an "ethical hacker" and expert on smartphone security, demonstrates how easy it is for criminals to create trojan apps
Idk about you, but I really hate how it boast about him being a hacker, and the "quotations" make it worse. So he creates some apps deemed as malware and explores the flaws in the phone, whoopy do I can do the same thing without much fucking skill either.

The part you quoted states that it's easy, what are you trying to prove?
[editline]7th November 2011[/editline]
And how do you know his knowledge is limited to mobile phone malware?
[editline]7th November 2011[/editline]
Unless you wanted to boast about being able to make simple malware I don't see the point of calling the article out on it.

1. It makes the guy look overall powerful and godly because he can program malware
2. Well if the article is about that, why not?
3. What? All I'm saying is that if I learnt how to make malware and use the code to put it on an Android or iDevice that's not really a big deal. Besides we've all known about malware on smart phones since at least 2007-2008, not news worthy
The article was about how easy it was to make smartphone malware, not this 'ethical hackers' skills.
[editline]7th November 2011[/editline]
Well that is if you actually read more than the first sentence.
Still, Android > iphone.
This has nothing to do with the war against Androids and Smartphones, it's just talking about Malware apps for smartphones.
What makes android better than iPhone in this case? That Symantec had found six varieties of Malware in one annual scan on the android systems?

Makes me think that their excuse in court would be "God told me to do it."

I don't wanna argue with people, let's be friends

Or at most, a Blackberry, since it has an email client that is competent, and other basic smartphone features.
I mean owning an Android or iPhone and no apps...wat. There is a reason Blackberry fanboys call those phones "toy phones".
