I'm planning on getting a new laptop in the next week/2 weeks here and I've been browsing around Best Buy. I'm not too technical when it comes to machinery so I was hoping if I could get some help finding a good laptop that could play semi-recent games on medium-high(maybe, doesn't matter to me), like Borderlands 2, Bioshock Infinite, Skyrim as some examples! It's been nearly a whole year since I've touched any games on my current one, I've had to replace the hd once and it's starting to burn out on me. It's still good for internet browsing however despie being nearly 5 years old.

My budget will be up to ~$500. Thanks for the help, I'll be back once my shift's done : D

Unless you really find yourself a deal, though, it's hard to cut under $500 while still running modern games because cheap laptops come with cheap graphics cards. Used / refurb market Y580 / Y400 / Y410p / Acer V7-582PG to approx. $600-670 as well as occasional sales dips of the Y40 / Y50 / Asus N550/X550 to $700-800 are the best you're going to find in terms of gaming value.
