I guess the guy who put the game up was a little over-excited and forgot to say "we should tell them how far along this is into development".

The game has currently two maps and the one game mode, titan mode, which is pretty much the MOBA mode. The game is incredibly fun and there's a real rush when you keep slaughtering people whilst getting stronger.

That's because it's early access. Loadout was $10 or $15 until release.

Can't find much on the game going F2P other than some news sources making claims whilst neither the website nor store page claims to be a F2P game. Either way, if the game does go F2P, I don't see how this degrades the quality of the game.
