It's hard to do the US is way bigger and more spread out.
Shit, we just got DSL to our house in December 2010. Had to use dialup before that.

I agree.
The only places I've gotten good 4G is in cities. Everywhere else it's usually a couple bars on 3G.

What are you on about? The article is about the lack of 4G in the United Kingdom?
I have a 4G phone but I disabled 4G because it rapes your battery like nothing else, and was only available in large cities.

At least you have 4G in the cities
I've never had any problems with good old 3G. Considering how much battery power it consumes, 4g just doesn't seem worth it.

US 4G is not the same as the rest of the worlds 4G, in fact, it's slower.
HSPA+ is a 3G+ technology that the US market claims is 4G.

Article about 4G, uses earlier 3G phones.

i live in america and my galaxy note never dips below 20mbps.
but then again i have been graced with living in an at&t 4g LTE city
My Droid Razr on Verizon 4G LTE gets 30-40mbps down. I say that's lovely for being wireless.

Sprint is supposed to have 4G LTE. They have it in one city in my state, and that's Grand Rapids. You'd think Detroit, or Lansing (the capitol) would get priority. That doesn't stop my phone from deciding it thinks it can get 4G and turning it back on just to waste my battery.
I think they should focus on having a good 3G/3G+ coverage before moving on to 4G...
We only use LTE at home (I live in Sweden) and we get higher than the net is classed for (85 Mbps)

I'm not. 4G in the US refers to different technology, while everywhere else refers to LTE.
That's probably because the word 4G doesn't actually point to LTE but rather "The fourth generation"
