• Multiple Moniters?/New Monitor

I know if you run a game on multiple monitors, you need them to be the same resolution otherwise it will be stretched. But, say If I ran a game on one monitor, then had internet/iTunes/whatever in another monitor, would this be possible/would it work if they are different resolutions? I'm looking into buying another monitor, considering they one I have is Y x 940 (Whatever the 9xy number is..), but I only want to run games on one of them. Any suggestion for a cheap, HD monitor?

Also inexpensive but good 1080p Inexpensive
I have nothing against alt tabbing, I do it all the time currently. I have Garry's mod set at a resolution where its still in window but it takes up the whole screen. Can't I just do this, but drag it into one screen, if you get what I'm saying. Does Dell make good monitors? I have a gift card for them that expires soon.

So if you make an Orange Box game windowed (that includes GMod), use the -noborder option and play it on your full screen resolution, it will look like it's in fullscreen mode, but you can alt-tab to other windows without minimizing it and the screen flickering and such. That's possible on single monitors too. [editline]02:04PM[/editline] And no, it doesn't matter if your two monitors have different sizes.
Epic. Just helped me get a new monitor, thanks.
I wouldn't trust a single one-sentence opinion to a product / manufacturer without a single argument/reason to make my decision on whether I not I want to buy that. I think you should rather read a few reviews.
Dell makes high quality monitors. It's a given around here, really.
Yeah, I've heard a lot more about them. I'm not stupid enough to take advice and buy a product based on one review.
Dell makes excellent monitors if I wasn't to lazy I would have bought one instead of my Samsung. I'm trying to buy one off ebay right now anyway, as that doesn't require me to do much.
Well what should I look for in buying a monitor? I've decided to just save up and get a good one, so what should I look for?
Nice contrast ratio, Response time under 10ms (Usually 5ms and under is good) and a decent resolution.
^ And from a good brand like Samsung and Dell
