I haven't really followed this at all; Can anyone with reasonable knowledge on the subject tell me if it looks like it will be a success / if it is powerful enough to run anything but the equivalent of mobile phone games?
The console will cost $100, and extra controllers will cost $50
Well that seems unreasonable.
Oh yeah, the OUYA.

As a console, it's unknown.
Well that seems unreasonable.
PS3, Wii U Pro controllers, and 360 controllers are $50. i dont see the big deal here.
I understand what this does and that it does it well but why would anybody want it? What is the attraction to playing mobile games on your TV?
Because it's a $99 Netflix machine instead of however much consoles cost these days. I hear it can also do games or something idk.
OUYA sounds like the noise one makes when he stubbed his toe against the corner of a door.

You can do a lot, including playing Android-based mobile games, but also emulators for example. And with the promises of the easy modding of the console, you could probably get some amazing addons that a mobile platform couldn't support. It's just not for everybody.
Can't wait to hear when this tanks
The controllers are 50 if you buy them in retail stores (gamestop etc) 30 normally. Get the controllers form amazon or ouyas website, the controllers are 30.

If people buy this for Netflix only, doesn't this have HDMI? so buying this for Netflix is the better choice.

People need to give this device hope, it IS going to fail if everyone out there reckons it will and no one buys it, but honestly it seems capable of quite a lot for what it is. I'm actually considering getting one.

was afraid the hilarity of the march launch was also being delayed, glad i was wrong
