• Learning a new alphabet

I do a lot of journaling and I'm always paranoid about someone reading over my shoulder. I've hear about people learning a new alphabet to use as a kind of code to help keep their writing more private. So my question is: what would be an easy-to-learn alphabet (not someething abstract to a native engis speaker like hindi or arabic) that translates to english well and has simpler characters? Extra points for an alphabet that is actually used and still has a purpose.

I'm not really interested in learning a code that would take time to cipher. I wouldn't want to have to take that much time just to right.
