I know that any upgrade will make my PC faster, but I want to know if anything I have is becoming out of date
I have an Intel Q6600 2.4ghz processor, 4gb Ram, a 4870 vapor-x 2gb and my motherboard is an Asrock 4Core1333-eSATA2.
Can anyone recommend me some upgrades?
I've got a pretty similar PC, with 2 8800GT's instead of the 4870.
It's still working well for me, but if I had to upgrade I'd go for a new CPU.
I was thinking that, but they're quite expensive and I dont know how faster it'll make my computer
The graphics card is fine for the next year at least, I would recommend upgrading your motherboard, CPU and RAM to an i5 750, 4GB DDR3, and a nice P55 motherboard (gigabyte has a few nice ones).
That would probably give you the best performance increase, especially if you get a fast hard drive to go along with it (maybe even an SSD?).
If it's a proper CPU upgrade, there's a huge differense.

What kind of RAM? DDR2? DDR3? (if its lower, then id consider upgrading that. Although, that would require a mobo upgrade, a CPU upgrade, and maybe a GPU upgrade) You could consider going overkill and getting some super fast 2GHz (if its DDR3, that is)
I'd say buy an after market cooler and overclock your Q6600.
