Is there a way to slow down, or cap, the download speed from the steam platform. As it stands I can't play anything online, or host skype calls etc. My steam runs at a good 1.8MB/s would be much nicer to have it run at 1MB/s and free up some bandwidth for other things. I've had a look about, and I hope I've not missed anything obvious, is there anything I can do to solve this problem?
Ever lower your connection status to 56k?
It is set at 256k at the moment, but it going at around 1.5MB/s. So I don't think that's how it gets its download rates.
