Hey all, I'm attempting to OC my new 4670k, but have been having some problems thus far. Whenever I manually adjust the clock speed by even 100mhz, and reset to apply, it fails and reverts. Same as whenever I use the OC genie. As stated, I have a 4670k, and an MSI Z87-G41, so OC'ing should be very possible. I'm running 55 degrees peak with my Evo 212 after ~2 hours of prime 95. Anything I'm missing here? I haven't had a desktop for a while thanks to dorms, but I never had any problems before that in my other few rigs I OC'd with.

I just want to push it up a modest amount, wouldn't have wasted the money on a "k", z87, and Evo 212 if something's keeping me back.
If you increase the FSB you should decrease the RAM's speed to match it's intended speed.
Figured it out, but thanks. I've been out of the desktop game for a while, and never with an intel chip. I was trying to increase the base clock speed, not the ratio.
