It's a USB guitar (Still trusting me?) and i followed the instructions and i can't seem to play it through my laptop's speakers.
It's the iAxe393-Bk USB Guitar, installed the proper sound drivers and it's 3 other programs.
Now i may need a 1/4" plug so that i can use headphones, but i just don't know.
Ask for more info.

One of these would be much easier for hooking up ya guitar to a pc.

Also:
Why would you want to play trough your laptop speakers ?
Annyways you will need to have a program enabled while you play guitar and you could also try to reboot your pc with the guitar plugged in.(The guitar is an external sound card to your laptop and needs to be enabled)

Maybe he doesn't want to buy/can't afford an amp. Otherwise you gave good instructions.
If you can, you should really buy an amp you get much better sound.
What's your OS?
Seven:
Right click the silly speaker icon and go to recording devices. Your guitar should show up there. Select it and click Settings. Go to a tab that's called something like "pre-listen" or something (my 7 is not English, it's the second tab anyway). There you can activate it playing back through your speakers and choose the speakers to play through.
Vista:
Go to recording devices over just the same way, select it and click Settings. There's a tab called something like "Level". There should be a slider to choose playback volume.
XP:
All Programs>Tools>Media>Audio Levels (or something)
Make sure you're in the playback devices screen. There should be a slider for it somewhere. If not go to settings and make sure it's ticked.
Vista and XP can be a bit inaccurate, it's been a while.
