I'm 17 and I have to get a bilateral hip replacement, which I will have to get replaced every 10 years or so until I die, each surgery being more difficult then the last. My femurs are abnormally thin due to blood loss from the hip dysplasia that I've had for my entire life, making it hard enough as it is just to implant the new prosthetic into the bone, It's very possible they might break my femurs at a critical area which then my only option might be a hip fusion. I would very much like to grow new hips if that was possible. Which it won't if we don't continue to do genetic research in human beings. I see no problem with it. The pros greatly outnumber the cons.

If you mean genetic engineering like cloning than I'm against. Just imagining a clone of me horrifies me.
