Hello there :) I have newly bought my first desktop, but I would like a PCI wireless networkcard. I have seen reviews on the internet, but I can't find any cards with good signal :S I currently have a usb that works, not that good, but it works. My Laptop, 2 years old, have a verry stable and extremely good signal quality. I visited acer.com too get the Ethernet specs: Ethernet Gigabit Ethernet, Wake-on-LAN ready. Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 5100/5300 (dual-band quad-mode 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N) Wi-Fi CERTIFIED® network connection, featuring MIMO technology, supporting Acer SignalUp™ with Nplify™ wireless technology Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 5150/5350 Wi-Fi®/WiMAX™ dual-mode module, supporting Acer SignalUp™ with Nplify™ wireless technology Bluetooth® 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) Is it possible to get anything like this? I'm super happy with the one on my laptop!
Ya, it's old, but I would love an answer :S ... could I by any chance take the one from my laptop and put it in my desktop?
No, you cannot remove a dedicated WiFi device from your laptop. What kind of network do you have? 802.11 A/B/G/N? How far is the router from your desktop? Edit: Doing some research on Newegg, you might try this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166038 You can't go wrong with a $20 device that has 210 5 egg reviews.

I also know I got 25/25, so I doesn't need "Up to 300Mbps download and 150 Mbps upload Data Rates" if it is a cheaper alternative I can choose.
