Desktop gets "limited or no connectivity", excellent signal

Recently, my internet went down, and our modem got fried somehow(BT Homehub, old white one), so we've had to dig out an old spare one (BT Voyager 2091). The desktop computer we have had to use this modem before, but despite this, it gets limited or no connectivity on the wireless, but the signal strength is excellent. I can go in the same room with my laptop, and get no problems.
I can't connect to Steam, or use Firefox.
Can anyone help me?
Probably incorrect WPA/WEP key...
I've got the right key for it.
Is it on Vista? I had the exact same problem. I fixed it by pushing a little red button on the back of my Dell XPS 420, it seriously turns the internet router on and off. Why would they put a button on the back that did that? Fucking retarded.
Running XP.
On a desktop.
What wireless adapter do you use? (Intel PRO/wireless, Dell etc)
Are you using XP zero configuration to configure the network or are you using the tool supplied from the vendor ?
Could you dumb that down a shade please? I don't understand the technical mumbo jumbo :v:
Okay..
What wireless card do you have?
What do you use for configuring it (Is it the standard XP tool or are you using something supplied from the wlan card vendor?)
Not sure about the wireless card, I'll check that tomorrow for you, and I'm using the standard XP tool for the configuration.

Or now, double clicking on the wireless utility gives me:
Belkin 802.11g Wireless Card.

If you're on an airplane, they request you turn off radio devices.
On topic:
Function:F2 normally works
That's something to do on a laptop, I'm having problems with a desktop.
IF belkin has a tool for configuring the wireless, try to download and use that instead of win XP zero config.. Try removing all sercurity on the router briefly and see if you still has the limited or no connectivity problem.. If you don't its deffinetely something with the security settings, if its still the same then im clueless :)
Apparently, there is no security other than the wireless key that's on the base of the modem.
