• GTX 660 Frequent crashing (Without reason?)

I recently brought a PC and since have been experiencing issues with the graphics card. I pretty much only play CS:GO but I have had this problem in over games such as Insurgency. During games the graphics card crashes randomly and then recovers. The recovery time varies from 3 seconds to minutes, and sometimes it doesn't recover and I have to restart my computer. I have tried different graphics settings from very low to very high and found that it still crashes. One thing worth noting is with V-SYNC on it occurs considerably less. I have tried the latest drivers as well as older reliable drivers. Below are my specs
OS: Win 8.1 64 bit CPU: Intel i5 4690 @ 3.5GHz RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 933 MHz Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97N-WIFI GPU: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (Idle: 28°C In-game: 50-70°C)
It is also worth noting that I am using a Samsung 59Hz monitor with an HDMI cable. I have tried a standard PCI? but that actually made the problem worse. It went through a period with very little crashing at all, but today has been horrific thus why I am asking for help [t]http://i.imgur.com/B2Uieob.png[/t]
removed the old drivers completely?
Yes
you used driversweeper? or just control panel? i used to have the same issue with my old 9800, but it turned out my old drivers were still being a hindrance to my new ones.
What is your psu make and wattage?
Coolermaster RS-600-ACAB-D3 600W
Looks like either a dead card, your PSU crapping out or your CPU locking up. Are you sure the GPU is wired correctly? As in the power connector is in?
Yeah correctly wired, I think it's a dead card. I'm sending back today.
