Today i dug my xbox 360 out of my room to play it, its brand new too. I hook up my xbox and i try to sign into my gamertag but it disconnects me and says "Your xbox LIVE membership is not valid" I have had xbox live gold for 3 month a long time ago and its expired. i tested my internet connection and its running perfectly to the xbox. anyone know whats wrong?

Maybe because its expired...
thats not what im asking... and it doesn't mean im BOX. It expired and i get that smartass, but it wont even let me log on with my gamertag

Try the xbox360 section maybe?
I tried to recover my gamertag. what happened was it said my password was wrong so i reset that and everything and i logged in with the email, i could check my email with the new password and everything so i try to log onto the xbox account and it says wrong password

My Xbox 360 did this to me a while back but i just re-entered my password and it got me back on, i'm not to sure why yours is doing this to be honest.

You have to recover it. If you forgot your email and password then you need to call xbox support so they can give you the information you need.
