The fact that it isn't a fun game is part of the appeal, apparently.
I thought it was an okay 7/10 game with a pretty neat story that gets far too much hype.

Not really. The combat doesn't change at all through the game. Though for $7.50 you do get one of the better stories in awhile.
Boring game and the story is nowhere near as good as people say it is at all. Average game overall would not recommend.

The boring combat is somewhat part of the experience. I personally don't [I]like[/I] that part of the experience, but it's supposedly intentional to get the game's 'message' across. The demo was utter shit, I agree.

It tries too hard to provoke an emotional response, [sp] it literally forces you to drop white phosphorus on a bunch of civilians, then acts like it a big shocking moment and you're a huge monster for doing it.[/sp] It's not a bad story, but a lot of people with the help of that Extra Creditz video seem to think it's some deep trek into the human CoD playing psyche when it's just a slideshow of war victims with sad music playing in the background panned out with boring ass 3rd person shooting and [sp]non-sensical team-mates that continue to follow you through Dubai even though you're talking to hanging rotten corpses and talking to your hallucinations with a broken radio.[/sp]
