Requesting free Computer Diagnostic tools (CD's, programs)

Hi, I am curious as to what free (burnable) programs aid in troubleshooting an impaired PC. I would like to have a little collection of diagnostic tools for personal use. A computer of mine keeps getting a blue screen, even after a reformat.
