"Trailer" Seven minutes
Seriously PCGamesN get your shit together that was not a trailer at all. That was a community made video advising you on how to play the game. Just watching the video tells you this. Blatant shit Journalism.
But it was sponsored by Bohemia.
But it was sponsored by Bohemia.
Yep and it's on Bohemias official channel and the past Arma 3 videos have been done by Dslyecxi so.... Bohemia is working extremely close together with Dslyecxi as part of their marketing to get the "Internet community" as their target audience
Bohemia is working extremely close together with Dslyecxi as part of their marketing to get the "Internet community" as their target audience
If they were going for the "Internet community", they'd go with PewDiePie or TotalBiscut or someone like that. Dslyecxi is a niche-guy. Sure, he's hilarious at times, but he's only famous among the ARMA crowd, and he's been a 'spokesperson' of such long before "AMERIKI" ARMA II videos became a thing. He was the guy doing the TrackIR 5/ARMA II gameplay video pre-release. Way I see it, they use him because he's a hardcore ARMA player, without being elitist about it (A lot of hardcore ARMA guys are). He appeals to people who already like, know and play the series; he's not a developer so everything he spews isn't "Oh look at this cool feature we made", it's "Look at this cool feature they made", and he cares about the shit that makes ARMA ARMA, and not what makes ARMA DayZ or CoD or stuff like that.
"Trailer" Seven minutes
There's nothing wrong with seven minute trailer. It's that people don't realize that the under-minute CGI clips shouldn't be called trailers but teasers, instead.
Arma 3’s finest points are its wide-open sandboxes, its wealth of options and its military verisimilitude - but it’s those latter two qualities that tend to put off even DayZ players wowed by the first.
Alright. Just. Ok.

Its a guide, not a trailer.
Alright. Just. Ok.
It's god damn annoying when every ArmA related article links back to DayZ.

Showing features, gameplay or just story elements. A seven minutes guide is hardly a trailer.
