i have a HP pavilion dv52035dx. i usually use it at my desk with the charger plugged in and the battery out of the computer on a cooling pad. i was worried about how hot it was running. so i looked in the manual for how to clean out the fans to make sure there was no dust. then is said something about how much power it was taking in could affect the temperature of the computer. so here is my question, is me using my computer without the battery in it plugged strait into the wall making it run hotter than it would normally. (the reason i plug it in without the battery is that it runs games such as minecraft and CS:S faster thanks for any help
the reason i plug it in without the battery is that it runs games such as minecraft and CS:S faster
wait what [editline]18th March 2012[/editline]
then is said something about how much power it was taking in could affect the temperature of the computer
I think it means that when the computer is under load, it runs hotter. (Which is correct)
What is your average temp in idle and under load? Download HWMonitor and run it then get a snapshot of it. It's normal for the laptop to have higher temperatures when gaming. Even though its tightly packed hardware will make its temperature higher. Which is why desktops are efficient at cooling because of the space.
