Just upgraded my 5.1 speaker system and am experiencing problems

I just gave my Creative 5.1 Speaker system to my sister, and am now using a Logitech X-530 5.1 sound system.

Now, before, with the Creative set, I used to have all 6 speakers playing at once no matter what I was listening to. Music, movies (in full 5.1 surround sound) but this new set doesn't even detect the rear or center speaker. I run the windows audio test and it doesn't even show the back speakers on there, and when I click 'test' I hear nothing. Anyone have any idea what my problem is?

It makes no sense that I had full 5.1 surround sound and now I have none.

What cables are you using? Several 3.5mm analogs, coax, toslink?

He's probably using 3x3.5mm between the speakers and the computer, and coax between the speakers.

Don't worry guys, sorted it. Turned out the 3.5mm cables were badly connected and you have to twist them and hold them in place with tape to work.
