Hey Facepunch, Merry Christmas! I have two cards that I want to get, but I don't which one to choose. My mobo has SATA ports which block large cards, so the card has to be small. The powercolor one will fit for sure, but the MSI one has a review saying their mobo's sata ports blocked the card too, and it fit. So the question is: which one is more powerful? Thanks!
The cards:

MSI: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127687
They're both essentially the same thing.
Both are HD7770s, and both are overclocked to 1000 MHz core and 1125 MHz memory.
It doesn't matter which card you get, other than the MSI card is more expensive.

He's worried about his SATA ports on his motherboard being blocked, Which he needs to do some measuring and find out for himself.
I'd probably try to push the budget a bit and get a 7850: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150656
And you could get some 90 degree SATA cables if it doesn't work out space-wise.
I also only have a 500 watt PSU, and the Powercolor requires a 450 watt. Would that be okay?

As for the measurements, get out a ruler and see if you have room. Measure starting from the slots on the back of the case.
PowerColor: 6.69" long
MSI: 7.6" long

I forgot about those! I have two, so space is no prob now. I can't really push the budget to 150, and it needs to work with a 500 watt PSU.
I'm so damn confused here.
Okay, just forget about the stuff above. Does a GPU that requires 450 watts to work work with a 500 watt?
You'll be fine.
Okay - OP, we need the PSU model, not the wattage. I've seen lots of supposedly 500W units not being able to draw near that, and an extreme example would be this: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&file=print&reid=187
So yeah - we need the PSU model name, not just the wattage. It probably says on the side of the unit.
It's a Rocketfish, I know it's bad. But it's served me faithfully for 2 years now. It's rated at 600 watt for peak wattage, so I'm pretty sure I'm fine. The only thing about it from reading up on it online is that I paid way too much for an okay PSU. $80 for it is too much in my opinion. I do think it's not top notch, but it does its job.

I don't know what you've been running so far, but a 7850 craves a bit more power than what you might find in slower cards.
Been running a 5670, which requires a 400 watt. I overclocked it a tiny bit though.

I'm getting the HIS 7770, not the 7850.

It doesn't require 400W, it's the recommendation for an average system.
The HD5670 pulls 64W max and idles at 15W. You could get away with a much smaller PSU depending on the system configuration.

Rocketfish is just an in-house brand that Best Buy has made for them. The Rocketfish line of PSUs aren't terrible, their build quality is far and above IEDs like Raidmax, Coolmax, Logisys and other shitty manufacturers. As you said, they are pretty overpriced for what they are, bur brick and mortar stores have to make their markup to stay afloat.
