SOE have stressed that early adopters of H1Z1 should expect “bugs, incomplete content, missing features, and potentially game breaking issues”.
If only Ubisoft were this honest.
Looks like a hunk of shit.. What the fuck lol
I don't really understand why everyone keeps saying this. Despite PlanetSide 2 I have some faith in the SOE team.

Well yeah that's why I'm so surprised too.. PlanetSide 2 is great, but this looks worse than the War Z.. Okay maybe not that bad, but still it looks amateur as fuck.
At least the art style looks quite nice
Never support Early Access.

Yeah this looks bad but trailer has more zombies in it than I've seen in two hours worth of DayZ let's plays.
This is basically WarZ.
This looks awful. The combat looks like it has no weight at all.
I really don't like the Pay2Win aspect of this. I mean, it's not so bad in Planetside, but in a game that's about survival and scarce resources like this one it seems like kind of a deal breaker.
[editline]10th January 2015[/editline]
I wish someone would just make a good DayZ-esque single player game for a change.
I would have bought it, but it looks like it has microtransactions
the sound design is terrible

Isn't that what State of Decay is?

What is Pay2Win?

It does as it will be Free 2 Play.
Depends on how the wearables will affect gameplay.
It would be pretty shitty if you could buy kevlar, but on the other hand it would also be shitty if wearable s were just for show without any effect.
[editline]10th January 2015[/editline]
It's not like I have a hate boner, I'd love this to be good, but Pay2Win is just really fucking bad 95% of the time.
The world itself and art looks pretty alright, but holy shit those animations suck.
So, it's yet another early access zombie survival game, except this one will be free2play and yet they still expect us to pay while it's not done yet. Fuck that.
Maybe the trailer sucks, have you guys seen some of the live streams? I don't see much wrong with it in those - apart from the sometimes very limited view distance.
This is basically WarZ.
Basically no. It's a lot more similar to Rust. Not the current rust, but browser version of Rust. The version I had fun on.
Still probably better than DayZ, the game where scripters can take control of your character and break your legs from 1000m away.

Oh ok, so its sorta TF2-ish. Well then that's fine I guess
This looks really good. I appreciate them making a full in-game trailer, the animations are a bit wonky but I've never been too bothered about bad graphics, and it looks like a feature-complete DayZ with some stuff from the various mod branches (basebuilding, mostly) made by a competent studio.
Shame it's free to play garbage, else I'd be interested in it
Its kind of funny because if I recall correctly THIS was touted as something for Star Wars Galaxies fans. I'm guessing that building shelters and weapons are supposed to be the connection. Still a dick move though.
Oy vey, it's another zombie survival game. Glad we don't have a whole bunch of those already.
It's really hard to take these zombie games seriously anymore. I'm not seeing any honest passion or vision here, it's the same old "Look, there's a market trend, let's cash in on it while it lasts".
Gonna have to give this a go at some point I have played so many hundreds of hours of Planetside 2 so knowing this is on the same engine is good news for me.
Looks pretty bad, but its early access so what can you expect
I mean it does look a lot less stiff than DayZ which is always a good thing.
Go look at their twitch channel, and the reddit page. They have a lot of stuff.
www.twitch.tv/h1z1 just the stream they did yesterday showed a good amount of promise.

The game seems more stable and less clunky then dayz, which I am all for. Sure it might have some things wrong with it, but so far from what I have seen seems better then all the others out there.
Event Tickets. Wait what?
What the fuck are you guys talking about? Even if this is just Day-Z, it's on the Forgelight engine (Planetside 2) so at least it will run well.

From what I played, it's finally doing it right. It runs well, plays well and it's absolutely massive. If they were going to cash in, don't you think they would have launched last year? The "trend" has passed.
