• Searching for media presentation software (Like PowerPoint, but more professional)

Sup, My school is hosting an annual beneficial concert for an audience of around 400-500. Since the last year my task in that was to care for the video projection that shows videos needed for the show and information on the currently performing artists. Last year i did this with PowerPoint. It does work and looks good on the viewer side and is kind of practical if you use it in two screen mode with a preview window on the non-audience screen and the ability to edit the slides while the presentation is running. However it does have some negatives i have encountered. If you do last minute changes to the layout (because someone decides it doesn't look right) you have to do it to every slide which is annoying and time consuming and it's missing some good video support (we had to do this by switching between VLC in fullscreen and the presentation - nobody noticed shit but it still was kind of a patchwork thing). So um yeah my question basically is: Is there a good presentation software where i can define global layouts for fadeins (so all i'll have to edit after making the layout once is the text), edit while it's running and have good video support? Payware is fine. Thanks
You can do a global style with a template. When I do them I make three templates: Start, middle and end. The start template has a few funky animations which introduce the presentation, the middle template has transitory animations which are quite minimal, and the end template is usually just a fade out.
Yeah but the problem i encountered was that these master slides kind of acted like a background. I wanted a intro and outro animation for each artist. It was a content box scrolling down and text fadeing in. When the performance was done, it was text fadeout and box scrolling up again. Repeat that for the next one. When i defined a master, the box just scrolled in and stayed there while the text changed.
