• How do I change my graphics shared memory?

So today I got 4GB of RAM for christmas. However my graphics card is sharing 1.5GB of it. I was wondering if I should change it and if so how? Why does it use 1.5GB of my RAM? This is what I mean:
If your graphics card doesn't use it's own ram\shared ram, I'm pretty sure it is allocated to system tasks anyway. If i recall correctly that is.
In the BIOS, I believe.
Should I even bother trying to change it?
No, wont make much of a difference, how much ram does that card have dedi?
1024MB of dedicated memory.
32 or 64bit?
32bit
Bam, problem found. I think.......
Well according to my computer I have 4GB of RAM but only 3.5GB is useable. I'm guessing this is because I'm on a 32bit operating system. So I'm just wondering, how do I know if my computer is compatible with 64bit? I'm on Windows 7 if your wondering.
You have a nvidia gt430 indication you have a newer system which will either have a AMD Phenom, Intel core i3,5,7 or core 2 duo. It will be compatible, pretty much all CPUs the past few years are 64bit compatible. Originally I thought that it used 1.5GB of my RAM constantly making it so I only have 2GB of RAM since only 3.5GB of my RAM is useable due to my 32bit windows but I was wrong. Should I install 64bit Windows 7?
Might as well considering you have 4gb of RAM in it's becoming the norm.
Ok, just installed 64bit now. Thanks alot for answering my questions.
