I still want to get it. I liked the first Watch_Dogs for what it was and this one looks cool

True but the game doesn't really take itself seriously enough for me to get mad about that.
I would probably consider getting the game if that edgelord with the digital goggles wasn't in it.

Honestly if the design of a character is enough to turn you away from the game you never really wanted it that much in the first place.

Yes because we definitely need another cold, serious trench coat protagonist instead.

Kinda ironic considering your avatar is Adam Jensen
The point is that it's done to death, and other games do it better than WD1 like deus ex anyway. I'd like to see something new.

Honestly I like that character because his character design is so dumb.
idk about you but thats exactly what made it look more fun that the edginess of watch dogs 1
no, the art direction is not the thing that makes a game fun, it's the gameplay.
And the gameplay in this game is relatively basic. I expected better parkour for example because they mentioned it at e3, i expected subtle humors but here it's blalantly thrown at you.

Look at this, so fucking cringy. So many unnecessary thing, why making her lag for example?
People complain so much about the way the characters are dressed it feels like I'm in the comment section of kotaku

Not everything needs to be designed to be hip and cool, if you actually looked into it you'd have realized the game is more self aware than you might think

We're gonna see on the 29th, but another reason for the game to have lower sales is the Watch dogs 1 fiasco. And there, ubisoft have everything to feel bad for.

That's a Max Headroom reference. It'd work better without all the crazy cats flying around imo, but ubi decided to focus on crazy after all.

You're right about that, I didn't really want the game but I probably would've atleast considered buying it if the character design wasn't so atrociously cringeworthy.
The sales might have been better, if they release it on both platforms the same day.
PC > PS4 + Xbox
Instead they destroyed the hype.

This looks SO DUMB.
It's like what it would look like if you sat in on an anonymous voice chat meeting. Edge lords over here.
Thats the entire point
the fact that it was intended to be dumb doesn't make it less dumb
Is anyone actually surprised? Who really wanted a Watch Dogs 2 and was just lining up to get it?
Is anyone actually surprised? Who really wanted a Watch Dogs 2 and was just lining up to get it.
someone that tried desperately to like the first one

I think it's fair to say I liked the core that the original tried to achieve, it just wasn't semi fully realized until this sequel came out.
I for one actually can't wait to play this game since it's just a vast improvement compared to the Original.
One shouldn't judge a game solely on gameplay videos, but all the ones I've watched, that were not released by Ubisoft themselves make it look a lot more enjoyable then the first one.
The storyline looks nice and silly and essentially a parody of all the wannabe hacker types in the world. I'd probably pick it up if it was a little cheaper.
More people probably would've bought it if it was just more than the first game with a wackier (and much more cringe inducing) setting.
As it is now, most are just waiting for a sale before they consider picking it up.

Max Headroom reference. Works better when you don't have a Jim Sterling clone trying to copy it.

Arguably Max was never meant to be as popular. In the original show he barely even showed up at all, just a random quirk once in a while.
