Has anyone here lived or is living in Hong Kong? I'm going there for University in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to do life sciences. Just wanted to ask, but despite going to Hong Kong for transfers in the airport and such, I've never actually been in Hong Kong. How is life there? What's the night life there like? Any hot girls? Drink prices? Transport (which is probably really good)? I assume cost of living is quite expensive in Hong Kong.
The cost of living there shouldn't be too expensive if you choose the right choice. When you walk among the street, there should be 2~3 hot girls in every ten women, so don't expect too much. Also, any word start with the sound of " DEW" means fuck, so try not to say something that sounds like it. The night life there should be pretty lively, since it's always noisy there day and night.
Are the expat girls over there not or not? I'm literally going to be pampered with heavy courseload from Hong Kong so I'll need a good place to take out my stress, rave, hook-up, and have fun.
If it's anything like Shanghai, there will be plenty of westerners there, but mostly middle aged office dudes.
Remember to say this when you see any grumpy middle aged woman: 'Dew Lei Lo Mo' It means fuck your mother Okay but seriously its kind of a mix between modern and tradition, its a mix of modern western influence and the old traditional conservative environment. So choose wisely. If you are a westerner, you might not be used to the traditional culture there. And btw victoria harbour isn't really that amazing. Just a fancy place for tourist to shop at.

There should be some Cafe in the area where only foreigners like you would enter.

Also, how do you think university life in Hong Kong will be?
How do I put it? The locals might be really full of passion, or the opposite of it. it really matters where you are. The way they talk might really sound like they are angry or high but don't get them wrong Staying there all by yourself is ain't gonna be easy, life there could be really difficult. I hope you know someone there or at least speak a bit of their language.
How is Lai Kwan Fong for nightlife and such?
