Probably because of the price.
I have not seen one in the wild yet so.

4 people in my office have them, they're pretty nice. Screen is great, which no AMOLED is part of the reason I'm not on the iPhone train so if I got one that'd be it.
Guy at college put his entire student loan for the first semester into buying one.
Everyone called him an idiot.
Its massively overpriced for what it is.
wow it's almost like no one wants to pay $1000 for a phone 🤔

That's not just the X though, the iPhone 8, S9, pixel2 are all atleast twice what there worth just for the branding

Don't forget the Galaxy Note 8.
Though at least that has a good featureset and can be gotten for way below MSRP fairly easily. Still, the $950 retail price is nuts.

Wait, so he indebted himself for a stupid phone?
He is indeed an idiot
I think its because how goddamn high the price is.
nobody wants trash anyways
The battery scandal probably didn't help winning over new customers. The price is just far too high as well. I mean its over a months living expenses for a lot of people.
