I just hope that flooding the map or cutting power will be something not everyone can do (as in, when the round starts / first X minutes), i imagine that enough people would instantly take their tanks to some dam or power station to blow it up for no reason.
If this shit is real, holy fuck, this is going to be fucking awesome. Flood control points with water would be fucking epic.
I'll wait until "Premium" comes out after 6 months, I don't want to be that guy who spends 60 bucks pre ordering and 50 on premium.
CQC - 10 new melee weapons (including katanas and batons), new stealth kill animations
Go on...
Go on...
Axes, sledgehammers, lightsabers.
As I said up top this could all be exceedingly fake. For instance, those potential expansions, I can’t see there being a release focused on melee combat. It’s just not very Battlefield.
That's true
Axes, sledgehammers, lightsabers.
A sledgehammer would be the most badass melee weapon. BLAM HEAD CRUSH
bananas
"Incoming cupcake airstrike, over."
bananas
You get his uniform super messy and he starts crying and dies.
bananas
Dynamic banana peel traps.
That's true
Maybe along with 'very' close combat maps? Like in the middle of a completely destroyed building with narrow corridors and you got it. But thats a lot of difference between the massive 64 player maps and then the extremely close combat maps with only melee weapons
Dynamic banana peel traps.
A.T. pizza mine? Cake claymore? "Oh look, a cak- OH FU...."
Something is still missing!
I highly doubt floods would be implemented well enough without blackout cutscene things.
All of it sounds really awesome, i hope it gets added. Not too sure about the melee weapons though.
The newer Call of Duties tried to do stuff like this aswell, but it's not exactly well implemented.
That's true
I could see some minor melee combat being a thing, something more than just takedowns, like getting in a power struggle with your knife above some dudes heads and you both mash the button like GoW2.
Guys the survey is real by the way. I did it the other day and they're also going to remake the BF3 maps in the new engine.
All of it sounds really awesome, i hope it gets added. Not too sure about the melee weapons though.
They shouldn't. CoD MP feels like a joke because of all the unnatural weapons and skins in there nowadays. Sure it's fun but it ruins the style. Arguably the same thing happened to TF2, although that game could afford to make the wacky style its own. The moment I see a pink camo for a Battlefield gun I'm going to quit the series.
Yeah it will probably be in the beta and then when the game is released, there will be close to no dynamics - just like what happened with bf3.
If this is true, honestly i could see BF4 being better than BF3 in that case.
The newer Call of Duties tried to do stuff like this aswell, but it's not exactly well implemented.
From what I seen, Dice is quite good at making this type of stuff
If BF4 had some more environmental shit, like avalanches that cut off routes, floods that drown the fuck out of people, sandstorms, etc, that'd be dope as shit. Would make maps less static and way more dynamic.
i'm going to be that guy and say right now i expect another "total and complete environment destruction" like bf3 'had' bad company 2 was better than battlefield 3 in every way other than tanks and jets
Batons sound very reasonable for a military setting, but Katanas? I mean, maybe if they somehow threw the JSDF in the mix somehow, but even then that wouldn't make much sense.
“In Battlefield 4, you can unlock Battlepacks as a reward for all your hard work in combat. Possible rewards include bonus CP boosts, knives, weapon attachments, and customization options like soldier camos, weapon paints and dog tags will let you play your way and stand out on the battlefield. The more you play the faster you earn them, but with 300 possible Battlepacks feature more than 1200 items, you never know what you’ll unlock.”
This reeks of optional microtransactions
This reeks of optional microtransactions
just like how bf3 had all of those microtransactions, right????
honestly, what the fuck, floods, cutting power off, car alarms, is this a single player stealth game? please wake me when it has square maps with two bases and control points all over, or it isn't a fucking battlefield game
i'm going to be that guy and say right now i expect another "total and complete environment destruction" like bf3 'had' bad company 2 was better than battlefield 3 in every way other than tanks and jets
Hit detection, general infantry combat
