The report has sparked anger from IE supporters, who have threatened AptiQuant with legal action.
They don't do favours for themselves
I think this is because people that use IE are usually just people that don't know much about computers, and don't bother to learn. In other words, they're stupid.
why do these studies always come out to be some weird stupid shit?
BBC always late with tech articles says study
The findings have been treated with scepticism by Professor David Spiegelhalter of Cambridge University's Statistical Laboratory: "They've got IE6 users with an IQ of around eighty. That's borderline deficient, marginally able to cope with the adult world.
It's funny because there is a staggering amount of people living on this planet that are barely marginally capable of dealing with the adult world in an intelligent way.
The report has sparked anger from IE supporters, who have threatened AptiQuant with legal action.
Knee-jerk all up in this bitch.
Not big surprise :P
The results suggested that Internet Explorer surfers had an average IQ in the low eighties. Chrome, Firefox and Safari rated over 100, while minority browsers Opera and Camino had an "exceptionally higher" score of over 120.
Are they saying that hipsters are smarter?
if anything internet explorer users are more minimalist, they looked at the logos and went for the no fuss one. *me
Are they saying that hipsters are smarter?
Nah, it's just that Opera and Camino have less users and thus are more sensitive to spikes in IQ.
Looks like whoever took the photo for the article must use IE then - they took a real picture instead of a screenshot...
Study is flawed the less users you have, the higher IQ scores.
Study is flawed the less users you have, the higher IQ scores.
Not necessarily.

this is oUTREAGEOUS, the study MUST be fabricated
this is oUTREAGEOUS, the study MUST be fabricated
Aaaand it was
I'm a genius
Study is fake.
This was a hilarious statement. Shame it's a hoax though :(
Just because the data was fabricated doesn't mean the general consensus is wrong. It's common sense that internet explorers aren't as intelligent, or at least not as technologically in tune as people with other browsers.
I use IE because Firefox was slow as hell for me when I tried it.Doesn't mean I'm stupid .
I see the connection.
I'm on vacation on a relatives computer. Sorry for using the only installed browser. And Ie9 isn't half as bad as ie 8. I use chrome.
